In deference to the tragedy at Essendon, all the wonderful colours on the Web Page have been changed.
With a bit of luck there will be some new content forthcoming before the redesign.

Not New ... Really Just Slightly Improved

A complete reshuffle is in the works, but in the meantime the Web Site has been raked-over for bad links and outdated information.
Amongst other things all references to a calendar or event have been directed to the new Yuku Calendar on the Message Board.
There was a lot of rather untidy stuff ... if you see anything I missed, let me know.

VCS Message Board moves on ...

The old ezBoard message board is now defunct ... it has been moved to Yuku a much-improved system with many advantages over the old including "in-house" image hosting that is just so simple to use you could show the kids how to do it (instead of the other way around).

Finally, an update to the Gallery (all right ... I have hung on to a couple till there was a suitably sized bunch).
A couple of new photographers join the honour roll:
Ben Carbone -- Uaru amphiacanthoides, Satanoperca jurupari, Paretroplus maculatus, Nandopsis octofasciatus, Nandopsis dovii, Hypselacara coryphenoides, Heros severus, Dimidiochromis compressiceps, Cichlasoma trimaculatum and Amphilophus citrinellus.
Daryl Hutchins -- Aequidens pulcher and Paratilapia polleni.
May the Bluebird of Happiness forever twitter in their gardens.

The lack of response can only be because of the tiny font here ... so I'll make it larger for the old folks ... (especially that magic address):

Thanks again Rob.

Web Site Updated

All e-mail links on the Web Site have been changed to victoriancichlidsociety@hotmail.com for a host of reasons. If you find any others, or any that don't work, send a message to the above address ... type it in, or find a link that does work ... the one on the home page should do the job; I've tested it from every type of connection I can think of.

I can't believe how much stuff was actually wrong on those pages: links, e-mails, headings. Even the history was wrong in that it said that we aligned the tenure of the committee with the financial year in 1999. The Webmaster should be... (more)

VCS Hotmail Account

You can now send all those pictures for the Gallery to the Society's own Hotmail account ... victoriancichlidsociety@hotmail.com.

The old 1Mb attachment restriction is history (now 10Mb) so you don't have to skimp so much on the file size and/or you can send a few pictures in each e-mail.

Some new pictures have been submitted for the Gallery but not included as yet.
